Read the short historyRecovered from the early web
Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksYoung Men buddy icons show head-and-shoulder style portraits of young men, with variations in expression, hair, and attire from casual to formal. Text snippets, caps, crossed arms, and mirrored pose changes help separate individuals in compact square layouts.
