Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksWhite Top identifies buddy icons where a character’s upper garment, shirt, or top clothing area is clearly light or white and used as a defining visual part. That white area can be the main distinguishing cue while the rest of the icon contributes action and text.
