Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksWearing Sunglasses marks images where the subject has recognizable eyewear over the eyes, from simple dark frames to reflective lenses. In buddy icons, sunglasses often remain present through pose changes and anchor the character quickly.
