Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksWater Reflection covers buddy icons showing mirrored imagery over water, like a shoreline scene duplicated in a glossy or rippled surface. Sunset scenes and silhouette pairings often make the reflected side the key clue even when text is minimal.
