Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksTank Top refers to icons where a sleeveless top is the most visible clothing detail on a character, commonly plain or patterned in a cropped upper-body view. Shoulder line, short sleeves absence, and arm exposure are the main clues, with text and scenery changing independently.
