Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksSubtle Expression Change captures minor facial adjustments across nearby frames, where expression shifts are slight rather than dramatic. In buddy icons, mouth, brow, and eye direction changes are usually the only difference between moments.
