Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksStark labels strong-contrast visuals with little softness and often restrained texture, commonly using black, gray, and red accents. In buddy icons, compact spiral marks, symbols, or silhouettes tend to look crisp and unmistakable because contrast drives the shape.
