Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksStar Decorations identifies explicit use of star-shaped ornaments as repeating decorative elements around a main subject or text. In buddy icons, star clusters in pastel pink, blue, or white often fringe phrases and frames to add sparkle-like emphasis.
