Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksSplit Screen Composition is when a buddy icon is visibly divided into distinct adjacent halves or zones, often with side-by-side comparisons. The samples show paired characters, alternate outfits, or one image and one text area occupying separate regions.
