Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksSpiral Patterns identify buddy icons built around concentric circular motif structures with repeated ring geometry that pulls inward around centered symbols or text. Many instances are tiled in small grids, where identical spirals repeat with subtle color and wording differences.
