Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksSparkles Appear points to effects where stars, plus signs, or glitter marks show up around text or figures. These marks are visually secondary but make the icon feel energetic, festive, or punctuated when they appear near words and subjects.
