Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksSmiling indicates a clearly rendered cheerful expression, where mouth shape, cheeks, eye position, or playful facial posture reads as positive. Cat faces, anime portraits, and close-up figures show grins, tongue-out expressions, or rosy cheeks to signal this mood without extra context.
