Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksSimple Graphic is a straightforward composition built from minimal elements, usually a single shape and short text with little ornamentation. In the sampled buddy icons, hearts carry concise copy like “ily” or “=D,” while the design stays centered and plain so the message reads quickly.
