Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksRurouni Kenshin is a manga and anime series about a wandering swordsman trying to leave a violent past behind. The practical tell is black or muted backdrops with compact text and close-cropped heads that keep the identity in a small face-forward layout.
