Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksRobot shows mechanical characters and mecha bodies in buddy icons, from compact android faces to armored humanoid forms. Angular joints, panel-like surfaces, glowing eyes, and utility appendages are strong signs at small scale.
