Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksRetro Digital is a composition style in buddy icons using simplified pixel blocks, compact layouts, and repeating message cards. Split scenes, spiral motifs, and star decorations are common visual markers made to stay clear at very small dimensions.
