Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksRepetitive applies to icons that repeat the same text phrase, symbol, or motif in multiple positions within one image frame. Reused hearts, stars, and repeated captions arranged in blocks create a patterned rhythm that is readable at a glance.
