Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksRepetitive Design labels buddy icons built from repeated visual units like mirrored shapes, identical phrases, or recurring frames. You can see the pattern when the same symbol set or text block appears multiple times with slight color or timing variation.
