Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksRepeating Text describes buddy icons that duplicate a word or phrase across multiple spots in one frame or over short loops. Tiny patterns may add small symbols, plus signs, or asterisks between copies, so the repeated wording acts as the central design element.
