Read the short historyRecovered from the early web
Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksRed Rose groups icons where a red rose is a clear focal object, commonly held, worn, or paired with a person in a close frame. The rose bloom and stem, plus nearby hearts, pink or red text, and pink accents, are the quickest visual anchors.
