Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksRainbow Gradient is a color treatment using multihued bands that run across shapes or backgrounds in soft or pixel-like steps. In buddy icons, fruits, symbols, and phrase blocks gain this treatment while other elements stay simple for easy recognition.
