Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksRabbit features rabbit or hare characters with long ears, rounded head and eyes, and often a soft body profile. In buddy icons, a clear ear pair, whisker line, nose, and occasional text accents make the animal recognizable even when the rendering is highly stylized.
