Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksPuppy identifies buddy icons showing puppies, usually through close-up heads or standing figures with ears, muzzle, and bright eyes as the key markers. Fur tone, nose contrast, and short captions help confirm the canine subject in small sprites.
