Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksPixel Hearts refers to buddy icons where blocky pixel heart icons are a core element beside text, often paired with affection phrases or usernames. Hearts may be pink, purple, or yellow and can flicker or change color between frames while remaining a small icon signature.
