Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksOrange Background describes icons anchored by an orange backdrop, from solid fields to warm gradients. The color wash can make darker subjects pop while keeping the composition clean and instantly separable from neutral or blue-heavy neighbors.
