Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksMetallic Texture captures buddy icons with reflective or sheen-like treatment, where surfaces look polished, chrome, gold, or brushed metal. Metallic Xs, circular emblems, and ornamented marks in these samples show specular shading and highlights typical of reflective material.
