Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksLion points to buddy icons featuring lions as the main subject, from full faces to stylized mascots. Useful cues are maned cheeks, bright eyes, and added motifs like crowns, banners, or side-by-side animal pairings that keep the species identity clear.
