Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksLight Pink identifies buddy icons where light pink is a key hue, used in small areas like hearts, faces, lettering, or clothing accents. The soft tint usually contrasts with deeper colors and can appear as a delicate highlight rather than a full-color field.
