Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksLeaping marks buddy icons where figures are caught in a jump-like pose with lifted limbs and airborne body direction. Dolphins, dancers, and animals show that upward movement cue even in a still frame, often with playful text support.
