Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksHolding describes icons where the subject is visibly grasping, carrying, or presenting something with hands, paws, or arms, making the held item part of the composition. The set shows guitars, paintbrushes, apples, staffs, and bells, often framed so the grip is the first detail you spot.
