Read the short historyRecovered from the early web
Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksHockey Players are icons showing ice-rink action with skaters, boards, and game cues rather than simple single portraits. You can read the scene through shoulder-to-shoulder stances, pucks, and jersey text on blue or black ice.
