Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksHigh Contrast buddy icons rely on sharp separations in tone and color, usually between dark grounds and bright lettering or light-on-dark faces. In these examples, bold black-and-white faces, white text blocks, or vivid accents against neutral fields make features pop quickly.
