Read the short historyRecovered from the early web
Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksHeart Positions Change names buddy icons where heart marks relocate between frames or versions, while the rest of the graphic remains similar. It is most visible when hearts slide across corners, edges, or near different words in a repeated message.
