Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksHand Raised identifies buddy icons that depict characters with a visibly lifted hand or arm, whether in a single frame or short variation sequence. Useful clues are raised palms, gesture poses, or pose-swapping portraits where the action is clearly an uplifted arm.
