Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksHalloween Themed identifies icons with recognizable seasonal motifs like pumpkins, ghosts, spiderwebs, bats, and themed typography in orange, black, and white combinations. Many samples animate expression or background shifts—such as glowing eyes or flickering flame effects—that heighten the holiday atmosphere in brief frames.
