Read the short historyRecovered from the early web
Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksGreen describes icons where green lettering, graphics, or scene elements contribute a clear visual cue. In these buddy icons, green appears in sports-style text, accents on dark fields, and nature-like motifs that stay visible even at very small dimensions.
