Read the short historyRecovered from the early web
Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksGreen Star highlights the presence of a green star glyph, star cluster, or star-like shape, often paired with short text lines or caption blocks. In buddy icons it may appear as a small icon on clothing, in speech areas, or near festive wording.
