Read the short historyRecovered from the early web
Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksGreen Hearts highlights buddy icons where green heart symbols recur as accents, replacing word segments or sprinkled as repeated marks around the frame. Tiny color pops can be the organizing cue, even when the rest of the icon is dark or mixed-tone.
