Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksGray Rectangle marks icons where a gray panel, bar, or block is a repeated geometric element in the layout. In buddy icons this is often a bottom-corner strip or framed area that offsets text, stars, or portraits from the rest of the image.
