Read the short historyRecovered from the early web
Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksFloral Pattern means buddy icons built around repeating flowers, blossoms, or botanical motifs used as decoration or as the background field. The evidence shows hearts and text overlaid on pink or floral arrangements, with petals and leaf-like shapes guiding the eye.
