Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksFiring captures scenes where a weapon is actively discharging in pixel art, usually with clear shot origin and effects. In buddy icon samples, that includes rifles, cannons, or firearms with muzzle flashes, projectile trails, and burst poses that make the action legible at tiny dimensions.
