Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksDot Cluster describes a dense grouping of tiny circular marks in buddy icons, typically hearts, stars, or texture dots. These dots cluster around text or characters, often forming repeating decorative sets that give rhythm to otherwise static compositions.
