Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksDark Purple is the use of deep violet tones as a noticeable color anchor within an icon’s field. In buddy icons it may show up in text fills, borders, checkers, and small highlights, so even a few dark-violet pixels can cue the tag.
