Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksComposition buddy icons are about arranged placement, using repeated blocks, quadrants, and patterned text areas to give structure inside the canvas. Recurrent symbols and stacked color regions help the viewer scan quickly when the image is tiny.
