Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksCollage is a buddy icon style that assembles multiple fragments into one square, joining separate faces, text blocks, and symbols into a single frame. Small mismatched edges, repeated character states, and tile-like sections reveal it as a stitched composition.
