Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksCheckerboard Pattern is a grid-based arrangement of alternating squares in regular rows and columns. In buddy icons, this patterned field can frame text, sit beneath a symbol, or form the backdrop that gives the piece a repeatable rhythm.
