Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksCartoon Dog means a stylized canine character, usually drawn in an illustrated or pixel style with simplified anatomy and clear expression. In buddy icons, poses and pose shifts, collars, sunglasses, colored shirts, and blinking eyes are frequent visual markers of the same dog subject.
