Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksBroken Hearts icons display hearts split by jagged separations, frequently repeated and contrasted with short phrase overlays in pixel lettering. The break line and paired fragments are the core identifying marks when backgrounds are minimal or when text itself dominates the design.
