Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksBolt points to icons using bolt hardware or bolt-like punctuation cues, mixed with highly energetic character snippets and text chatter. Visible bolt clusters, yellow highlights, and abrupt speech-bubble poses are recurrent details that help distinguish these from more neutral sprite sets.
