Read the short historyRecovered from the early web
Buddy icons survive in old directories, fan sites, downloadable packs, and web archives. The archive preserves the original files, groups known copies, and records where each one was found.
How the archive worksBlue Object highlights buddy icons where a blue-toned item is distinct enough to be the object focus, especially when held by a character. The item may be small, but it stands out as a separate visual cue against contrasting skin or background colors.
